Park guide
Everything you need to make the day work.
What to expect
Efteling is themed end-to-end — Fairytale Forest is a 30-tableau walk-through that's been growing since the 1950s. Headline rides: Baron 1898 (Holland's only dive coaster), Symbolica (a brilliant trackless dark ride), Fata Morgana (a 1986 boat ride that still ranks in the world's best), and the new Danse Macabre swinging-room dark ride.
Plan your day
Two days ideal. Day 1: Baron 1898 at rope-drop, then Symbolica, Joris en de Draak, Vogel Rok, Fata Morgana. Day 2: Danse Macabre, Droomvlucht, Python, the Fairytale Forest in the morning when characters are most active.
Food & drink
Polles Keuken (Dutch fries + croquettes) is the cult favourite. Panorama Restaurant overlooks the park lake. Outside food is permitted in the picnic area at the entrance.
